Anne Walsh
The sounds of Brazil make up the backbone of Anne
Walsh's latest release "Pretty World". The CD received
a Grammy nomination for the track "In the Still of the Night".
Anne's live shows focus on fun and groovy Brazilian jazz and though
"Pretty World" has an organic feel to it, her live shows
are even more interactive, improvisational, and fun. Anne's set list
features not only Brazilian music by the likes of Ivan Lins, Djavan,
and Jobim, but also original lyrics written to the music of Pat Metheney,
Steps Ahead, Keith Jarrett, and standards from the Great American
Songbook including Cole Porter and George Gershwin. Grammy nominated
arranger Tom Zink joins her on piano
in a quartet that also includes bass and drums.
