The Ryles
Pressroom
Cambridge, MA - *MOST IMPROVED AWARD* This Inman
Square landmark was starting to get a little dowdy, but along with
renovations and physical changes, management has restored the luster
to the club's bookings. Ryles presents live music six nights a week,
and programming includes a Sunday jazz brunch that lasts from 10
am to 3 pm, salsa and merengue dancing on Thursday and Friday, and
swing and latin dancing on Saturday. The 18-piece in-house band,
the Ryles Jazz Orchestra, performs with out-of-town headliners.
The only survivor from the days when Inman Square was a mecca for
live music, it's a dependable good time in a fresh new package.

Summer 2003
Cambridge, MA - This wood-tabled, no-frills, neighborhood
club claims to have “the best in live music,” and it
just might. It swings every Tuesday through Sunday night with both
local and bigger-name bands. Jazz dominates, but you also can move
your hips with salsa and merengue dance lessons (offered on Thursday
nights). Take in the jazz downstairs on Saturdays, and during the
set breaks pop upstairs and make some moves of your own on the dance
floor where Latin, swing, tango and everything else goes. The highlight
of the week, many would argue, is the Sunday Jazz Brunch that lasts
almost all day. The music is great and the food - including outrageous
omelets accompanied by fresh strawberry Mimosas or a spicy and snappy
Bloody Mary - can’t be beat.
